syzygy 7 - weekday mtwtfss aw 2008

Syzygy 7 is site specific installation and performance piece written on commission for WEEKDAY MTWTFSS AW08 Fashion installation, using virtual instruments. 7 loadspeakers and 49 fashion model standing on black cubes, dmx controlled midi light, maxforlive and ableton live. The main thought is to work with the number 7 in various aspects. In vision, form and rythm. 7x7 fashion models, 7 spatialized loadspeakers and 7/4 measures in the beats gives the piece its own caracteristic energy and sense of time. We are also using the weekdays (MTWTFSS), as a means of expressing human comprehension of time and day to day life.

we have trimmed and fine tuned the sounds and the music for what we aspire to be a little masterwork of mobile games. babel tanks, a game for iphone and ipad, is currently under development. A separate application for Mac OS X 10.5 or later has also been developed to draw maps for the games to share them with other players. stay tuned for more, we will tell you when to look for Babel tanks at the apple app store.

the swedish grammy award winning production unheard of again was created together with jan risberg and the sonanza ensemble. together with multitalented adam wittsell pär created this site specific architectural projection mapping for sweden oldest concert venue nybrokajen 11 in central stockholm.

Together with the multitalented adam wittsell pär have continued to develop projects in various contexts. In 2010 they made research and created a proposal for a new site specific, public, interactive and architectural art installation for Medborgarplatsen at södermalm in central stockholm. the project inkiksplats medis received founding from Stiftelsen Innovativ Kultur in Stockholm. The project is currently under progress.
