frid & frid project room

The project room has been founded with the ambition to explore and question temporal expression in our time. Our ambition is to charge the project room with music and sound art as well as moderated hybrid forms of artistic expression linking disciplines like music, art, architecture, design, film and dance.

We will invite creative individuals or groups to explore and collaborate around well defined concepts. The outcome could be a concert performance, an exhibition, a screening, a workshop or a seminar for a small audience. In addition, the processes can also result in commissions for prototypes and/or proposals for projects reaching for larger venues or contexts.

Today computation and communication technologies extend our very senses in everyday life. Our notion of body, space, time and matter are defined via units of information. Structures, processes and systems give us new parameters and perspectives of space and time. Presence is a blurry definition today, it could be real or virtual. The action, re-action and inter-action are often experieced remotely.

To develope the project room, we have set up a great team. In late october we will release a program for AW 2011-12!
